Happy Holidays 2023!

Hello Friends, I wanted to make a quick post today wishing everyone a wonderful, safe, healthy, and happy holiday season! Attached to this post I’ll be sharing pictures of my Christmas Tree with the crochet skirt that I made for it this year. My Christmas Tree is from Target, I have had for several years now. The Crochet Christmas Tree Skirt is made with Hobby Lobby ‘I Love This Yarn’ in the ColorWay ‘Old Glory,’ and the border colors are scrap yarns in the colorways red, white, and blue. I used a ‘J’ Sized Boye Ergonomic Crochet Hook. The Pattern that I used is The Lovey Pattern by Zee (Zeldanrj3 on YouTube). The only things that I changed about the pattern are that I made it longer and also I didn’t flip my work over after each row. I will link Zee’s YouTube Tutorial Video for this pattern below, it’s a beginner pattern, and she makes it very easy to follow with her instructions. I have used this pattern for all of my Christmas Tree Skirts that I’ve made for my trees in past years. This pattern works well if you have a small Christmas Tree with a skinny trunk (like mine) with removable legs. You just put around the bottom of your tree before you put the legs on your tree, just make sure your work is facing the right way up. For reference my Christmas Tree is 3ft. and the tree skirt is approximately 23 inches by 23 inches (square). I think this pattern is just perfect for a Christmas Tree Skirt if you have a tree like mine. Also, you don’t have to use Christmas colors. You could make in silver or gold, or even rainbow, whatever you love and works best with your Christmas Tree and Decor. I hope that you enjoy the pictures and this has given you some inspiration for your own Christmas Tree skirt. This year I made My Christmas Tree Skirt in the colors Red, White, and Blue to honor my friends’ daughter who just joined The United States Air Force! I’m so very proud of her and for all that she’s doing and accomplishing! As a side note, please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, she has just graduated The Air Force Academy and is will be graduating again for the specific program she’ll be in, afterwards she has her first deployment which is overseas. Please send well wishes and good thoughts her way.

Thank you so much for following along with my blog and for your continuing love and support with my crochet and other works! 2023 was a busy and fun filled year with lots of crochet makes for family, friends, and donations. In 2023, I found new organizations/charities, to donate my crochet works, that I participated in and donated to as well as keeping up with donations with charities that I’m already involved in. I’m always looking for new charities/organizations locally and nationwide to help out in donating my crochet works. While I still have several blog posts left for 2023 to update you on to wrap up this year, I already have many crochet projects lining up for 2024! I have had this crochet blog for a few years now, I’m loving sharing all of my crochet and other projects/donations with you, and I plan to continue this blog sharing along with you. This last week of December and of 2023, I’ll be working on updating this blog for 2023 and finishing up some last crochet projects for this year. Starting out 2024 with many new projects ahead that I’m really excited for and to share with you! I hope that my blog continues to inspire you to help others no matter how small or big. As always, thank you so much for all of your love and support! Sending all of you many virtual hugs and lots of love!

I hope that all of you have a wonderful day!

Happy Holidays!

Love Always, Your Friend, Taralynn ❤️
