Hello Friends, Today I wanted to share with you a volunteer opportunity that I took apart of in The Fall of 2023. This Volunteer Opportunity I found online (local to me) and is an ongoing volunteer opportunity for me that I’m apart of. This Volunteer Opportunity is through one of My Local Churches and is to help a Local Nursing Home. I made and donated 16 crochet loveys for this local nursing home. The TY Beanie Boos were purchased from Ty Website Online & the CareBears and Stitches were purchased from Five Below. (All Items Were Purchased, Handmade, & Donated By Me.) These crochet loveys are so much fun to make, as well as one of my favorite items to make to donate and gift. The crochet lovey pattern is by Zee (ZeldaNRJ3 on YouTube), I will link the her crochet lovey tutorial pattern below! It’s a very easy, beginner friendly pattern, and works up very quickly! I love matching the yarns to the different stuffies I use as well! After I finished the crochet loveys, I dropped them off to the woman in charge of the program who than gives them to the staff at The Nursing Home to give out to the residents there. I really enjoyed and loved this Volunteer Opportunity and like I mentioned this is an ongoing Volunteer Opportunity that I’m apart of! I really enjoy and love making these crochet loveys and can’t wait to make more! You can make them for Nursing Homes, Cancer Centers, Hospitals, etc. These crochet loveys are an excellent comfort items for all ages I believe and I hope that they bring the residents at the nursing home so much happiness, comfort, and love. Remember no act of kindness is too small. Any small way that you can volunteer and help your community is important and a great way to help and give back.
